Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Laura—founder of EVA, business builder, and believer in doing it differently.

My journey started in professional sports, working with the Cleveland Indians. But after my daughter was born in 1997, my focus shifted—from stadium lights to home life. I stepped into the world of virtual assistance to support financial professionals, working remotely before it was cool.

By 2015—now a mom of three—I saw something bigger taking shape. Elite Virtual Assistants was born not just to offer help to busy professionals, but to create meaningful opportunities for experienced, talented individuals—especially women—who wanted to stay in the game professionally while also being present for their families. EVA is about freedom on both sides: giving clients relief, and giving professionals flexibility.

What began as a solo VA business evolved into a full-service agency, serving law firms, CEOs, and mission-driven leaders across industries.

But the real turning point? Delegation. In 2017, I realized I was holding EVA back by trying to do it all. I hired my first internal VA, then slowly built a team of specialists—each in their zone of genius. That shift didn’t just grow EVA. It gave me space to lead. Today, our 7-person leadership team powers EVA’s day-to-day, while I focus on vision, culture, and supporting our incredible clients.

I’m proud to be a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and to lead a certified WBE, MBE, and EDGE agency that champions diversity and inclusion.
