Why EVA is a Labor of Love for Our Staff! by Megan Murphy

February is the month of love, with St. Valentine’s Day just around the corner, but don’t let Saint Valentine fool you…love isn’t always romantic. The ancient Grecians had several words for love, like Stroge or a bond of empathy, Philia or friendship, and Agape, which meant unconditional love. No offense to the Greeks, but for me, there’s only one set of words that mean love and those words are Elite Virtual Assistants or the best company to work for. In fact, there’s a lot of love to be found here at EVA and as a part of the internal EVA team, I’m going to tell you why.

My name is Megan Murphy and you might’ve seen me in the bylines of other month’s blog posts or most famously during Thanksgiving when we posted what everyone at EVA was thankful for.

I have been writing content and copy at EVA for 6 months now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. As a writer, I’m always happy to take on new projects (like the one I’m typing) and EVA has no shortage of those. But the real reason I love working here isn’t just because it keeps me busy, it’s the people who I get to work alongside. I’m usually pretty nervous to meet new people at a new job, but the warm and gracious welcome I received was overwhelming. The level of quick communication anytime I had a question, the constant feeling of innovation, and the detail-oriented, devoted, caring team, are all factors that made my choice to continue writing for EVA clear. This was the job for me. This was the first time I had a team that made me feel like I was truly part of the family, an integral part of the inner workings and not “just an employee” or a “number” like so many others had. And, I know I’m not alone. It’s apparent between my team members and our clients, that there’s so much to love about EVA!

Another thing I love about my work with EVA is the fact that it is remote. Working remotely can help workers (and writers!) in so many ways. When you’re working from home you can still feel connected to what you love: your family, your kids, your pets, your spouse…. While still working for one other person you love: you. I can imagine if you’re a parent or a caretaker, that working from home could be the biggest sense of relief. Your loved ones are right within reach while you build your skills and make money. Or, if you’re a multi-job entrepreneur, a “hustler”, a student, or a freelancer like me, working from home can mean the ability to juggle all the rest of the things you love: projects, craft, creation, study, etc.

Like I mentioned before, the internal team that I work with on a regular basis here at EVA really stands out and I would love to mention just a few of my teammates who make this all worthwhile.

Laura: Your devotion and ambition are never unnoticed. You are truly Superwoman disguised as a mom and business owner! I could never ask for a better teammate.

Kiley: You are a master at what you do! Your kind and quick responses to emails or texts are always what makes working with you a breeze.

Paige: Your knowledge of all our platforms and work apps makes taking on new projects easy and painless. I know I can always turn to you for a solid answer on anything.

Susanne, Krista, Lisa, Joy, Chrissy & everyone else: Your smiling faces and kind hearts are what make EVA the loving, dedicated, and all-around incredible company that it is. I wish there were more people like you working everywhere.

And, where would we be without our hard-working Virtual Assistants? They are what make EVA who we are!

If you’re reading this and you don’t work with a virtual assistant, there are a million reasons to start but the number one is because they make your job easier to love when you’re not swamped with tasks!

Remember, delegation is a form of self-love, and this month, EVA is full of both love and virtual assistants, ready to take on your delegated tasks.

Love yourself and one another. Happy Valentine’s Day!
