From entrepreneurs to corporate CEOs, everyone knows the old saying: “Consistency is key.” And as long as you haven’t lived under a rock for the past 20 years, you know that social media is now the equal key to your business’ success.
These two have a lot in common.
Your consistent content – whether it’s social media posts, videos, emails, or blog content – is the only thing that helps your business stay visible. Once you’re visible, you’re consistently reaching an audience.
Reaching an audience of mostly new viewers might be hard to obtain without proper strategy. But once you find your right posting amount and content mix, staying consistent is key to making a difference. The same way you did with other parts of your business: networking, service/product development, branding, etc.
Consistently posting on designated days and times is part of “the key”. For example, did you know that you should never post on Facebook, Instagram, or Linkedin more than 2x a day for maximum visibility? Or will post 5-10 times a week offer you your best shot at being seen? There are also studies to back up what times you should be posting. According to Hootsuite, first thing in the morning or lunchtime is best for viewers. The same study found that posting at 11:00 am on Wednesdays was best for Instagram.
Then you must find the content your audience will engage with the most. Consider your ideal client…what would they be most likely to “like,” “share,” or click on?
I’m sure you’re realizing now that it’s a lot of work to create, manage, organize, and schedule!
